If you have some room for wrapping but can't commit to storing bags and paper for any occasion, get selective. Keep several rolls of natural kraft paper and a few rolls of shiny white, add the right bow for the occasion, and you're good to go. Natural kraft paper gift bags paired with tissue paper and tied with raffia are a good look for most gifts, simple and streamlined.

If an island isn't an option, any empty counter will do. The laundry room is a great spot because the counters can be used for wrapping when they aren't being used for folding.

Painting colorful stripes in your laundry room is a quick and inexpensive way to make a dreary space feel a lot less drab. Houzzers also liked how the storage bins match the ironing board, and how the designer installed a hanging bar underneath the wall shelving.

This ironing board solution is a little more complex, but just as efficient. Houzzers loved how the designer customized the ironing board to fold into a cabinet drawer. The beautiful cabinetry and rustic backplash were other points of interest for Houzzers too.

Smartly organizing a single wall space left plenty of room for foot traffic in this joint laundry room and mudroom. Using built-ins to create a sturdy space can give you the option of customizing a smaller room to fit your needs.

While this laundry room isn't particularly big, the long countertop offers a ton of valuable workspace for folding and sorting. Users loved the light and peaceful colors in this room, and the well-placed window above the washer and dryer
