Another look with the pale gray marble mosaic and a different countertop.

Q

Photo

This is a blended mix of gray and it might work.

Q

Photo

Large white tile laid diagonally. Simple and textural.

Q

Photo

I suppose we could just go with a much grayer Calacatta mosaic such as this...

Q

Photo

Kinda beige tile, good with the wood, but not white enough to go with our countertop?

Q

Photo

Calacatta style countertop, white tile, gray grout. Not sure, but can see it.

Q

Photo

Beautiful beige-gray, very light tile.

Q

Photo

Really large subway tile. I like it a lot—very clean kind of Scandinavian look.

Q

Photo

Very pale gray handmade tile.

Q

Photo

Herringbone long tile in white.

Q

Photo

Handmade oyster white blend tile. I really like the shine and the texture. How did they get this blended look?

Q

Photo

Modern white tile.

Q

Photo

Greige tile, marble veined counter.

Q

Photo

White backsplash but textured. I think this is Heath tile.

Q

Photo

Backsplash?

Q

Photo

What about this backsplash?

Q

Photo

Combination of our countertop with a warm mix of tan and grey.

Q

Photo

What about pebbles for a backsplash?

Q

Photo

Way too much wood for me, especially if you add in a wood ceiling. This is the rift sawn oak with the gold glaze we are looking at currently and I don’t much like it either. A claustrophobic kitchen.

Q

Photo

Another way to go. I think the shiny greige tile laid in the pattern would make a great backsplash for the white Calacatta gold countertop.

Q

Photo

Original idea. Wonder how closely the tile white matches with the mosaic. Looks good here, but is it a problem?

Q

Photo

White countertops with this greigey tile with herringbone pattern.

Q

Photo

Plain white, but with the pattern.

Q

Photo

Generally don’t love gray, but it would perfectly combine with the countertop gray, the gray of the stainless steel, the black of the window frames and the tan of the wood and countertop tan AND avoid the problem of matching the white to the countertop. We could have either stainless steel or black handles and pulls.

Q

Photo

What about plain white or tan tiles laid this way, over and out? Simple, quiet but the grout lines would give it texture.

Q

Photo

Just the tile pattern.

Q

Photo

Is this tile marble? I like the diamonds. It’s both a texture and a subtle backdrop.

Q

Photo

Tile backsplash.
