I bought a Thermador electric oven, gas cooktop and warming drawer 13 years ago when I remodeled my kitchen. The oven is still going strong, the warming drawer needed a minor repair but the cooktop had a problem (recently), when three of the four ignitors died. Unfortunately, Thermador no longer made the part and we had to replace the cooktop. This upset us quite a bit because it is an inexpensive part and there was nothing else wrong with it. But overall, 13 years is a pretty good run for appliances. We heard Viking has had some repair issues so looked at other brands. We went with a Wolf cooktop and so far we love it. We chose that brand because of the good reviews and because Thermador no longer makes the configuration that has the gas grill in the center (which my husband likes), and partially because my husband was not happy that Thermador discontinued the ignitor part so now he has a bias against the brand. By the way, if you don't like the signature red Wolf knobs, they also provide stainless or black knobs at no extra charge. We have a Bosch dishwasher (still working) but our Bosch washer and dryer both gave out sooner than they should have and needed to be replaced so I am not sold on Bosch going forward.
