This is the inspiration for our hopefully multi skylight design over the stairs. This detail has to be designed by the architect with the roof truss manufacturer.

Perhaps for the upper floor bedrooms or other areas this subtle detail around the perimeter of the ceilings seems appealing and likely cost-effective. Perhaps this would be well-suited for the family room area where we want to keep it relatively clean and less formal, and also recognizing the full height glazing in that room.
