Reply to: OK before doing anything to the FP wall I would get the furniture/furniture layout right. Is the sectional staying? Those chairs are not cozy, they are bedroom style chairs. To me your sectional is "large: and everything else in the room is "delicate". Lamps too small, curtain fabric insubstantial. This is what I would do: move the sectional to the window wall. Decide on TV size and get a console that is at least 25% wider than the TV (i.e. 75" TV console should be at least 94" wide). Place TV & console on solid wall. FP is too high for TV. Put at least 1 end table by sectional with a taller more substantial lamp. Get 2 more comfy swivel chairs. Then reassess to make changes to FP wall. I'm really not seeing any reason to make that wall look built in and where did you think you'd add brick?

Doors that swing in front of other doors. insufficient space beside a door for the light switch. to name a few. How many steps will it take to get from the master walk-in closet to the kitchen refrigerator?
