My husband and I purchase a log home in a very beautiful location. After several months the darkness got to me as well. I was lucky not all my walls were logs. In some areas the walls darkened as they aged and more of an orange tinge due to the stain the prior owners used. But I have been happy with the results of the painting. The rooms are lighter and not so heavy looking. Using a lot of light drapes, light fabrics and light color granite helped!
