Designer secret. “We love mixing things up and utilizing special elements that the clients own with new finds,” Marini says. “Creating conversation pieces [and] mixing vintage fabric and furniture with new textures allow us to give the homes creative expression and showcase our style mixed with the clients’ personal touches and personality. In this case, the penguin statue was used in the decor as it was given to our clients as a wedding gift. Penguins mate for life, and so it stands between them as a reminder. We love that story and sentiment, and positioned him right in between their vanities.” Floor tile: large-format hexagonal in matte black, 13 inches, Mission Tile West; vanity-wall tile: Palisades Blanco Dimensional, Mission Tile West; rug: vintage; bench: 503found; sconces: Mira in black, Cedar & Moss; faucet: Purist wall-mount in Vibrant Moderne Polished Gold (finish discontinued), Kohler; shower hardware: Newport Brass; countertop: quartz in Frost White, MSI; sink: Vero, Duravit; mirrors: CB2; see more mirrors
