Global Syn-Turf - Artificial Grass Supplier

deniseebyrne, artificial grass is more than OK to use around the pool -- it's ideal. Namely, artificial grass is invulnerable to chlorine contamination and discoloration, which is the main problem homeowners encounter with real grass installations around pools. Secondly, artificial grass doesn't have the side effect of grass clippings getting blown into the pool (which saves you time and energy and perhaps money). And last but not least, there's no maintenance! Besides, I would have to respectfully disagree with the opinion that the maintenance and care of real grass is worth its aesthetic benefits, because that opinion presupposes that real grass is aesthetically better than artificial. Many artificial grasses on the market look and feel just as good as, if not better than, real grass. Secondly, like I said above, poolside artificial grass demands no maintenance and has none of the negative side effects of poolside natural grass. The upshot is that the deliberation about poolside surfaces shouldn't be about natural grass vs. artificial grass, it should rather be about artificial grass vs. concrete. And despite that, artificial grass and concrete aren't necessarily mutually exclusive! Have you considered combining stone pavers with artificial grass? This combination is very common around residential pools. Below is a picture of such a combination using Global Syn-Turf artificial grass. Finally, to answer your last question: artificial grass may be slippery when wet, but if someone falls, artificial grass is a safer surface to fall on than concrete. Hope that helps!
