A photo of the front of the house would be better. Is the entire house Bedford stone or is there some clapboard? Keep the white trim, it adds brightness. If there is clapboard, paint it a color of the stone or a color that coordinates with the stone. This gray is nice. Paint doors white, too. The house is quite lovely. My guess is the landscaping is dating the house. Can't see well enough to make a recommendation. The shaped shrubs can be renewed to a less clipped more natural look and empty spaces filled with similar shrubs.
