Do I need louvered doors on my W/D closet?

Mine is semi-open. Closed on the dining room side and open to an eating area adjoining the family room. I like this type of combo but not when you do all your living in one big room.

I prefer open - but sometimes it depends on the house. There is nothing like a cup of tea in a quaint old house with those separate rooms - just a little added mystery. ;)

Tricia - that is exactly how we designed our remodel. Kitchen is open to the family room, but there is a separate formal dining room and a separate formal living room. We wanted the option to be away from the kitchen mess while entertaining.
