Fake feature wall?!

Looking to redecorate living room! Just bought a new grey corner sofa and will probably choose a light warm grey paint or white colour for the walls. However, I love this striped wall paper, but think my wall is too big and it wouldn’t look right? Ideally I’d like a fake feature wall with the fire on, but it’ll be too much money/effort to build one. Alternative is to just wall paper one strip down the middle surrounding the fire to make it look more of a feature, but I can’t find any pictures, so guessing this probably wouldn’t look right?! After some opinions / advice on whether to bother with wall paper or just leave plain :-)
