Curtain height for high ceilings?

Our ceiling height is around 290 cm. I wanted to get very high curtains but need to DIY it as we have a lot of windows and its too expensive to get custom made. i was able to find nice and reasonably priced fabric that is 270cm but the problem is, the studs only go to 250 cm. Will it looks bad if my curtains don't go up to at least 270-280cm? or will 250 still looks decent?

You need to measure all this. We have no idea what size your space is. If it's 8ft Ceiling, I would think you would wanna look for 96"h Panels, and hem them if necessary, you may need several panels in a row to achieve your purpose of covering the kitchen. Put the track on the ceiling for this purpose. Put the rods for the living room window a couple inches below the ceiling, hem the curtains. You could be using the same ceiling track here as well. Or the wire track from IKEA, etc. your call.

In the above photo measure from ceiling down to where shelves are to placed. Do this at each corner. Depending on how your house settled this will ensure that the shelves parallel the ceiling. The shelves may not be "level" per say but will have that level look

Curtains for living room nook & large slider patio door in kitchen

Finally decided I need curtains on living room nook window to give room a warmer/cozier feel. Living room has high ceiling which extends beyond upstairs balcony. House is open plan so living room also opens into kitchen which has a large slider door to outside patio. I also need this door covered/curtained. The large patio door is visible from the living room and the living room windows are visible from large patio door in kitchen. Have fabulous views from windows so don't want curtains to take from that. Need advice on color, fabric, length etc. Any suggestions appreciated.
