Tile help required!!!

We're currently in the process of renovating a family bathroom and will soon follow with our ensuite. I would like the two rooms to kind of 'compliment' each other but would like to use a different tile to make them slightly different. I'm really struggling to work out whether the tiles I'm looking at compliment each other... we had a tile mishap in our last house so I think it's made us overly cautious to not make the same mistake again!

This is what I'm thinking but would be great to see what you think...?? Also what are people's views on a mix of full height and half height tiles? So many things to consider with a bathroom - it's a minefield!

Main bathroom

Mandarin Stone Polar Taupe Gloss half height on wall with sink and toilet and wall with bath - Polar Taupe Gloss Porcelain Tile | Mandarin Stone

Mandarin Stone Paloma Ivory Matt full height in shower and on floor - Paloma Ivory Matt Porcelain Tile | Mandarin Stone

Ensuite

Mandarin Stone Piazza Viola Matt full height in shower and half height on one wall with toilet and one wall with sink - Piazza Viola Matt Porcelain Tiles | Mandarin Stone

I very much like your choice for the Ensuite.

For me the bathroom isn’t as successful. Personally I think the two tiles have to much contrast of colour and texture and I would rather see the white replaced with something warmer and therefore closer in colour to the Taupe tile. I also prefer to not mix gloss and matt

Also bear in mind for consideration bathroom wall paneling which will do away with the need for cleaning grout. So many options available.

I think you will be fine with that choice in a small bathroom and I'm sure it's actually relatively common. Here is one example I found on houzz and it's a combination with have in our small carriage house bath as well. I would look at the upscale vinyl flooring like karndean which comes is every conceivable finish and is very easy to keep clean and is very hardwearing and practical for a kitchen.

I agree with Jonathan. It could be my screen showing the colours differently but the paler tile for the bathroom appears much cooler in tone than the taupe one which is a warmer tone and therefore creates a clash.

Thank you all - appreciate your view! It is very difficult to tell from the photos so I'm going to take @Laura's advice and visit one of their show rooms on Saturday to either confuse me more or to hopefully give me some clarity!
