leasehold house

Has anyone had issues with buying a leasehold house. Looking at one which has 199 years on. (About 140 left) Only issue looks like they can’t locate the freeholder. We really like the house but because it’s leasehold and they can’t acquire the freehold yet scares me a little. Any advice please?
