Butterfly/Dutchman joints - practicalities in 21st C

Saw this jointing in Leeds Castle which looks awesome.


Anyone know a practical way to implement it, I don't necessarily need the random planks that Leeds has - but there must be a way to get the joint effect without actually hand making each one fitted to each plank.


I'm thinking inlay butterflys after fitting with jigs to cutout for a router after the floor is laid?

I guess it would need to be solid timber, maybe engineered flooring with some experimentation.
