Help Please! Dated ranch exterior

I just bought this home & am moving right along with the interior reno plans.. unfortunately I'm not so good with exteriors!

I'd love to hear any suggestions you might have for paint colors. The windows are vinyl, so their trim will remain white. Should I paint the entirety or try to keep the stone color (it's a very light tan). My gut reaction says go gray but there are so many options beyond that... dark charcoal all over? Light gray with white roof trim & front door? Medium gray with black door?

Here are a few photos I'm drawn to, but I'm also open to other color schemes! I generally don't love bright colors though, so that's likely out.

Thanks so much!!

I like your house!!..the neutral colors don't bother me that much but I love grays too..did you see any inspiration pics where the style of the house is similar to yours?..first thing I would do is rip out those yews(?)..

I really love your house...If you post this on the home decorating forum, too, you might get a lot of comments and maybe some photoshop help.

I don't think the grays would work with that color stone...you might be able to find some warm taupes that could work, but not the grayer ones. Can you post a close up of the stone (here and on HD)?

Nicholsworth55- Thanks so much! I've been looking for similar inspiration pics but haven't had any luck.. I'm mostly finding ultra-modern homes or super traditional ranches with porches etc. I'll keep looking though!

The current color has really unappealing undertones in person.. kind of a sickly yellow/green. I'm really hoping for a new color to bring it into this decade. Most of the shrubs are on the chopping block for sure! I don't have any leftover cash for landscaping right now, but I'll at least remove the ones closer to the door and add something taller on the left side of the house for some balance. Oak leaf hydrangeas are my favorite, so I'll definitely be finding spots for a few!

Olychick - I hadn't even thought of the decor group.. good idea! I think you're right about the stone being too warm for any grays to look good, but I definitely want to stay away from more taupe or brown to modernize the house a bit. Maybe I should just plan on painting the stone too for sure.

I'll be at the house for inspections next week & will get closer pictures of the stone them- I'll report back once I do! Thank you!

Your home reminds me of this one (below) in houzz. You have a modern home. I think changing the door to a more modern door & painting the door a pop of color and changing the landscaping is all you need :) Also add a walkway to the front door. I love your new home, it looks wonderful. Just a little bit of color and landscape will do all you need.
