We are using "Super White" polished marble for kitchen counters and part of the island (which is actually not super white at all, it has lots of grey veining and movement).
What thickness should we choose for the counter edge?? 1 1/2? 2? 2 1/4?
I think it depends on how large the area is a really thick edge on a small island looks odd. I think 1 1/2 is a nice thickness for most projects with a square edge.
Forgot - 40% of the island is butcher block, so because that will be thick we probably want the marble to also be a similar thickness because they are side by side, so thinking 2 1/4 edge.
I'm installing super white and am wondering how you like it now that you have had it for a while. Any staining or maintenance issues I should look out for?
Also, are you happy with the 2 1/4" edge?
