Methodist Church conversion Blackrock

This is a detached former Methodist church called Meeting Hall and dates from 1847. The original fabric of the church is a protected structure. The interior of the building has high vaulted ceilings and original gothic styled windows with an abundance of natural light which we aimed to capitalize on.

Paul Brazil Associate Architects led the restoration side of the project converting the building from office use to a two bedroom luxury residential unit which includes an entrance hall, living space, kitchen, master bedroom and en-suite. A new mezzanine area was designed and overlooks the living area facilitating a view of the period features of the façade from this space. The mezzanine area was designed by our team to incorporate a stylish office space /guest bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.

The aim of the project was to create beautiful functional interior spaces that have a wow factor and will appeal to the high end executive rental market. The spaces were designed to resemble a luxury hotel stay for a client who enjoys a lavish lifestyle - an inspiring place to live and work for the end user.
