Photographer's house
Groombridge Road is a three storey Victorian terraced house with a photographer's studio on the top floor and an open plan ground floor with a side return extension designed to maximise natural light and create a fluid spatial arrangement.
The extension has a glazed roof and is clad in cedar, with slender galvanised steel windows and copings to create a contrast between existing and new elements. The cedar cladding continues into the rear garden to create an additional external 'room' for the summer months.
