Mansard Kitchen

The kitchen in this 1870s Mansard was part of an addition that was cold, awkward, and out-of-date. The homeowner asked us to emphasize a connection to the yard beyond. As an avid gardener and cook, she wanted to enjoy her yard while preparing meals and easily access her garden. The connection was achieved by installing new wood windows on two walls of the kitchen instead of upper cabinets.
