Just start with one piece. Find one piece of art that you really love. Put it on your wall. And let that inspire you. You do not have to seek other pieces to “match” that piece. Although, if you do want a theme to your art, that is fine, too. But make the choices with love. This is your home. It is not an impersonal hotel. If you find one piece and do not find anything else that you like right away - that is perfectly fine. It is better to leave the walls empty than to fill them up just to fill them up. Getting art for your home should not be an emergency situation. Take your time. Enjoy the process. It can be an interesting journey.
