Main Floor Marvel

Every inch of this main floor was updated, except for the stone on the fireplace. The new owners wanted an open concept and general updating of the home.

This is the view from the kitchen to the family room before we got started. The upper cabinets were a hindrance and the dated fixtures and cabinets were unsightly.

Here we see the laundry cabinets which have seen better days. The storage was not ideal for the space, and the border was not doing anything for the room.

This room was used as a living room before the new owners opted to use it for a dining room.

Where these rooms were once separated with walls, the space is now wide open. All the surfaces were updated throughout the main floor.
View of Entry
Removing walls opened up the space so now it's more a part of the kitchen. The flooring that runs throughout the main floor also ties everything together.
Dining Room After
Now as you come into the home you can see into the kitchen. The post on the island was necessary to support the roof above, but worth it to eliminate walls and exposed beams. You are also able to see out the expansive patio door to the new deck and the view beyond.
Enter Into the Great Room
The window was moved to the right to make room for better cabinet storage. The range that once sat where the fridge is now, was transformed to wall ovens and an island cooktop. The cabinetry around the perimeter match that in the laundry room, which is right next door. The island cabinetry...

You can see everyone who might be here from about anywhere in this main living space.

The island provides ample storage as well as seating. Whoever is doing the cooking is able to converse with everyone else who might be around.
Kitchen Island
The cabinetry was moved to one wall, rather than in the corner for better flow through the room and better balance. The finish and style match the kitchen right next door, as well as the flooring.

The new cabinetry provides more storage, besides being beautiful and stylish. The Shower door is a semi-frameless model with rain glass.
Bathroom Vanity
The yellow tile has been replaced with a calming gray subway. The new tub is a nice soaker.
Soaker Tub
A deck was added off the family room for expanded living and entertaining space. Notice you can't even tell the window to the right was moved.
New Deck
The entry had a cased opening to where now sits the dining room, and it's own flooring. All doors and trim were replaced.

The family room once had paneled walls and carpet on the floor.

The U-shaped kitchen was a little cramped and very dated.

The L-shaped cabinetry was cramped and didn't' function well in the room.
