Completed in collaboration with Architectural Spaces, this full bungalow remodel presented a wonderful opportunity to bring warmth and cohesion to a dramatically transformed family home.
The project centred on a sweeping open-plan extension housing the kitchen, dining and living areas — featuring vaulted ceilings, Velux skylights, and a bold navy shaker kitchen with copper hardware. The Design Barn was responsible for the soft furnishing scheme throughout, carefully curating fabrics, window treatments and accessories to complement the home's contemporary yet liveable aesthetic.
Warm neutrals, layered textures and considered accent pieces work harmoniously alongside the bespoke joinery and clean architectural lines — softening the spaces and creating a sense of ease and comfort. A newly added master bedroom and ensuite received the same attention to detail, with custom soft furnishings bringing a boutique-hotel feel to the private quarters.
The result is a family home where every finishing touch has been thoughtfully considered — welcoming, beautifully styled, and a true reflection of the clients' personality and taste.
