These homeowners were converting their home's attic into a bedroom suite and needed a bath with pizzazz. Selecting a remnant of Blue Dunes granite for the vanity top and shower bench drove the design choices: a clean gray paint on a recessed panel door with a small molding detail (Fabuwood Cabinetry's Fusion door in Nickel), a handmade white subway tile in the shower interior jazzed up by a strikingly graphic fan tile on the exterior wall, and a vivid blue feature wall behind the vanity that picks up the subtle sky-blue hues in the granite. The homeowners did all of the demolition and most of the construction themselves, except for the tile work.
