Bamboo Theme
The design was a collaboration with the client to create a panel with openness as well as highlighting soft oriental elements with the bamboo and willow tree motifs. Glass selected for this project was hand-blown antique clear glass, hand made opalescent as well as machine made domestic textured glass in soft tints (foreground) to maximize the amount of light coming into the space. Kiln melted dichroic glass was used in some lower sections to create a feel for sparkle effects in tinted sand colored glass. The photo was taken late in the afternoon
