Some seem to be old hat, but more recently several have made a real come back. It would be very easy today to create a sentence to include a few of them. For example :
A certain Nincompoop continues to Bamboozle people with his Shenanigans, Malarkey, and Tomfoolery as more are wishing that he would Skedaddle before everything becomes totally Discombobulated.
We finished Save Me the Plums, and it was really good, I'd give it 5 stars. There is plenty for discussion, but for bookclub, I'd say more like 4 stars. The discussion is predicated on her life, and not a lot of it translated for me.
We're going to read Fannie Flagg's Welcome to the World Baby Girl, next.
I finished reading The City of Falling Angels by John Berendt for book group...he also wrote Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. I felt mezzo mezzo about both. Some parts I found interesting, like how difficult it is to age in Venice as you have to walk everywhere. Some parts were dull...lots of stories about people that were meh... some stuff he just touched on which I'd've found far more interesting if he went in depth. We did have some discussion, but not enough to recommend for book group. I'd give it 3 stars.
Glad you had a great time. I went on a river cruise years ago that went from Portland to Astoria along the Columbia River. You are right. it's much slower and relaxing, without the party vibe on an ocean cruise. Much more interesting and educational too. Beautiful pictures, thanks for sharing.

Red Delicious USED to be delicious until they started messing with it to make it more shippable and storable, which ruined it. I agree that it's the worst, probably in that it’s the most disappointing.
