I have the highest accolades for the quality, insights and services of J. Powell and Associates. Most recently J. Powell completely renovated our recently purchased 2400 sq. ft condo in the Meadows at Beaver Creek. The unit, built circa 1989, was gutted (including a large 2 story rock fireplace and hearth) and transformed from a Swiss chalet into a NYC loft of black, white, purple with modern fireplace, etc. (or more of the Aspen modern look). After 30 years of a mountain elegant style, I was ready for a major change. Jim quickly sensed what I was looking for and managed all aspects of the project---himself having architectural skills coordinating with a professional architect, oversight with the contractor as well as all of the interior needs. Because of J. Powell and Assoc., it was a joy to remodel and refurbish our new second home.
Importantly, this is not the first but actually the fourth major design project in the Vail Valley where we have retained J. Powell and Assoc. over the past 35 years---all "second" homes--the first on the 18th fairway of Eagle-Vail, the second a large home in Beaver Creek, then a new high end condo in Lionshead. All the homes had different design concepts and feel---and we loved all of them. J. Powell and Associates provide great ideas, options, etc. and honest and reliable.
