Relationship: Client
Project Date: November 2019
I’ve never written an online review before, but I believe it is my obligation to share my experience.

We originally contracted Christopher Sanborn for a renovation of the cabinets and area around our fireplace in November of 2019 after agreeing that work would begin promptly just after Thanksgiving. After putting down a $4,200 deposit, It has been a nightmare ever since. Each time I checked in on the progress of our project, I was given a new excuse. During one conversation he complained about how tight money was and he needed to get a little extra cash in order to buy the supplies because he had expended a lot of resources moving his workshop after his lease expired.

After this and yet another missed scheduled appointment (over 2 months after the project was supposed to begin), I did a little more digging and I found out that his license has been suspended for a very similar situation that led to a court judgment against him. Therefore, he is no longer legally allowed to enter into contracts for the work he outlined. To date, Chris has shown no evidence of progress or ever even purchasing materials and has simply STOLEN our money. I’ve obviously learned my lesson to do more homework on contractors, but I want to make sure that nobody else makes the same mistake. DO NOT get involved with this untrustworthy individual and company.
