The Houzz group of companies (the “Houzz group”, as identified in our Privacy Policy, or “Houzz” ) uses service providers and partners to help us operate our Platform. We ask third parties to help us perform the following types of services:

  • Payment Processing
  • Telecommunications
  • Product sales, fulfilment and delivery
  • Marketing services
  • IT services
  • Fraud detection
  • Customer Management
  • Improve our services

We also use service providers and partners to perform the following types of services as explained in our Cookie Policy:

  • Measure and understand usage of our mobile applications, website, and emails
  • Advertise and measure advertising performance
  • Credit our advertising partners for referrals
  • Website related services

In connection with these services, Houzz service providers and partners may have access to your personal information.

Under certain laws like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), certain third-party partners that help us operate our Platform are considered controllers of personal data. This means they are responsible for the processing of your personal data (either independently or together with Houzz as a joint controller) pursuant to their respective privacy notices and practices. For example, these third-party partners may have an independent relationship with you or need to use your data to fulfil their regulatory requirements. In addition:

  • If you request us to find professionals for you, your project information (including the contact information) that you provide will be made available to a limited number of professionals that we believe may be suitable for your project. These professionals are considered controllers of the information you made available through your request. To find the professionals’ names, please reference the emails you received after submitting a request or obtain that information by downloading your Houzz data.
  • If you have purchased a product from a third-party seller (i.e. a product that was not listed as “sold by Houzz” on the product listing page or your order confirmation email), your shipping information will be made available to the third-party seller. These third-party sellers are considered controllers of your shipping information. Please reference your order confirmation email to find the third-party seller’s name.

If you have questions about the third parties that the Houzz group engages, please feel free to contact us through the Contact Us section of our Privacy Policy with your question.
