“We have had Martin install our kitchen granite counter tops and each of our three bathroom countertops - one of Quartz, one of marble and one of granite. He does excellent work. He and Paula are extremely easy to work with. If they don't have the stone you want they will happily meet you at a competitors' stone yard and install that stone for you. We did our kitchen in 2012 and our bathrooms in 2014. Their prices are reasonable.”

We have the privilege of being able to peer inside some of the most luxurious custom homes in Illinois and many of our clients have AKDO materials and designs in their home. After meeting Kate Donofree, the talented art director and designer of the particular stone pattern we were interested in, it is very apparent that she knows her stone, even down to what part of the quarry it was cut from. That's a designer with passion.”

“For our kitchen renovation, we knew what we wanted for our countertops. Granite City let us come down to the yard at our convenience to see their slabs. They didn't have what we were looking for, but they quickly brought up pictures online and found their suppliers who had it in stock. Within a couple days, they had emailed us pictures of specific slabs and brought in the one we chose. It was exactly what we wanted and gorgeous, and no extra charge from prices we had originally discussed. Since we did the whole kitchen ourselves, we were a few days behind schedule so Granite City worked well with us on rescheduling for our template and install dates. On the install day, the workers worked quickly and efficiently. The only issue we had throughout the process was that the small strip for behind the range was either not measured in the template, or forgotten during install, but Lou made sure to get that piece installed quickly and before collecting final payment. Overall, great experience and highly recommended! Lou, Sarah, and Mohammed are very customer service oriented.”
