“We took a number of bids from other stair companies and Pike Stair was the only company who said they could do the work we wanted the way we wanted it. Other stair companies "insisted" what we wanted could not be done. In addition, Pike was not the most expensive, and because they said they could do "the impossible", I did have concerns and told the owner about them. He assured me it was going to be done. Once construction began it was discovered my house was not built to code 35 years ago and this caused some problems with installation. In my head I thought, "I knew there were going to be overruns." However, the owner and I discussed the issues and the lack of code was a surprise to him as well as I. We came to a very reasonable agreement on how much extra it was going to cost. I watched on a number of days the work ethic of both Eric Pike and Hanno. I was truly amazed at how hard they worked on such a hard project. Their personal dignity is truly part of the work they do. Doing poor work humiliates them and so they will never allow that to happen even if the "poor work" is in the "eye of the homeowner." I would hire them again and again and attempted to do so, but ran out of money on other improvement projects. When I have the money again I won't even call around as Pike was the only one who wanted to get me what I wanted the way I wanted it. BTW, the stairs came out beautiful. I could not have been more satisfied. In other words they did the impossible for a good price and would not leave a concern unanswered and fixed.”

If all of my vendors treated me like CHI does, then my job would be much easier. They never drop the ball and go out of their way to accommodate my clients and me. “Due to disabling illness, we needed to convert down bath to handicapped accessible ASAP. Larry rearranged his schedule and got the job completed within 48 hours during Xmas/NewYears week. Removed glass shower doors and packaged them for future use; installed 3 grab bars; installed handheld shower head with shutoff valve. $605 + Material. To convert office into a bedroom, Larry rearranged all furniture; removed large bookcase, packed books and took them to Library for donation. $195.00. LC Handyman is one of the very few Handyman Services that has an office staff to answer the phone and schedule jobs while Larry is on jobs. Too many handymen use their personal cellphone, which is useless when they are in a "dead zone" or too busy to answer it. Totally professional operation.”

“I hired Dave Acevedo Concrete Contractor for a job very few contractors can do. I have an above ground reservoir converted into a pool and needed someone to build a cantilever concrete deck a top of this reservoir. Not only was this a difficult job, but could have turned out very costly and unsatisfactory if done by a less talented contractor. After Dave assured me he can do this job, I'm so glad I went with him! His attention to detail and uncompromising in cutting corners made the deck come out absolutely beautiful. The edge on the cantilever is straight as an arrow with no waves, and the custom thickness of the deck came out perfect! If you review any of Dave's work here on this site, you too will come to realize that Dave is definitely a pro, a one of a kind. And he's true to his motto, a contractor to the stars with no job too big, nor too small. (yes, he has worked at many famous people's houses, talk to him about it when you have him over for a bid, I can't think of a better recommendation than that.)”

“We started with UltraGuard about a year and 1/2 ago and have received prompt and professional service from both the head office and the technician who applies the product locally. As an interior design firm, it has proven to be a profitable "up-sell" to offer clients who purchase upholstered pieces through us. The product itself seems to be very effective. We have not had a single complaint from our clients and have also had the sealant applied to pieces in our showroom. We were especially impressed with it's performance on an expensive hand-knotted rug placed in a high-traffic area. It seemed easier to vacuum after the application and a few spills were easily blotted up without leaving a stain.”

“Ken did an excellent job redoing my fencing. I had estimates from a fencing company of $4100 to replace my fence which is a combination of vinyl, wood and brick. Ken was able to recycle some materials, and then repair, repaint and improve this fence making it look brand new and beautiful for an extremely low price in a short period of time. I've had a number of compliments already from my neighbors. I will definitely call him first for any handyman work I may need in the future.”
