Lisa Arrowood is an expert in interior design and architecture. She has an extraordinary eye and can turn a nondescript structure into the home of your dreams. I recommend her without hesitation and would welcome the opportunity to work with her again.

We worked with Lisa Arrowood on upgrades to our second home in Sonoma. County. The home is modest in size with approximately 1750 square feet divided between the main house and a guest cottage. While there were three bathrooms between the spaces, one of the bathrooms had been converted from a linen closet, which rendered it almost unusable due to the narrow dimensions. The sink had the look of a drinking faucet and the shower was tight and not accommodating for our sons and son-in-law who are well over 6 feet. Lisa drew plans which "borrowed" 2.5 feet of space from the over-sized master bath on the opposite wall; eliminated the pocket door and moved the door opening to one end of the bathroom. For all three bathrooms, she suggested we begin by choosing our countertop material and let that be our guide for our tile selections. She suggested we keep a clean look in keeping with the simplicity of the home. Lisa was sensitive to our budget and as such we did a lot of the legwork selecting materials, which she reviewed and approved or suggest a change in color or texture. She is masterful in her selection of paint colors and the entire home and cottage were given fresh paint with each room a slightly different shade of soft hue. She also handled the selection and installation of carpet and roman shades for the bedrooms. Lisa spent a lot of time getting a feel for our style and tastes so that her suggestions were on target. She was timely in delivering construction plans which our contractor used extensively. Because we live several hundred miles away, and had a hard deadline for completion, we were very pleased with Lisa's responsiveness both for in-person meetings and by email.

Lisa was so helpful during the early stages of our renovation in Sonoma, CA. We were stuck on trying to figure out a new layout for our master bedroom area and she came up with several great options. She has a great eye for detail and amazing taste! And, she can do urban or country designing! We loved working with her.

Lisa helped us with several Décor aspects of our remodel in Sonoma. She found pieces of furniture for us that were unique, high quality , and affordable. she is a creative and practical designer. I like her down to earth approach which never forces fancy ideas but rather lends a calm direction to making great decisions for the design of the home or project.

Lisa is truly exceptional. We have worked with a number of interior designers through the years, and she is by far the best. We recently purchased a home in Sonoma as part of a move from Wisconsin; and Lisa helped us make the changes and improvements which really personalized it for us. We relied on her for lighting, colors, furniture and for thoughtful suggestions for major and minor changes to every room. Following a series of in-person planning meetings with her, the general contractor and some of the subs, most of the actual work occurred while we were still living in Wisconsin. Lisa essentially oversaw the project for us in our absence. Our trust in her simply grew and grew as the work progressed. After a break of a few months, she is now helping us transform our garage into a family/music room, and her magic continues. Beyond her expertise, Lisa is down-to-earth, and listens to what we have to say. She is also cost-sensitive, so when less will do the trick, she tells us. In our view, you should feel lucky if you can get her.

We hired Arrowood Design LLC to help us update our wine tasting room in Kenwood, CA with a modern and elegant but casual, comfortable appeal. Lisa Arrowood was an excellent consultant in helping us to focus our vision for the space and guided us in the right direction for all décor choices from furniture pieces, to the paint palette, and art placement. She worked easily within our budget and was very available for on the fly questions and meetings. We remodeled our kitchen and dining room. On arrival Lisa Arrowood immediately had a sense of flow and space, even with walls removed. Her willingness to draft plans and work with contractors was helpful. Knowing we like to entertain in a small space she maximized storage and versatility in every way.

I hired Lisa to help me with my daughter's room. My daughter was turning 8 and wanted to change her room from a "baby" room. Lisa came over and asked me/my daughter what we saw in her "grown up" room. Lisa made suggestions on the spot, but came back within a few days, with a drawing/sketch of the layout of the room. It was exactly what my daughter wanted. Lisa found the furniture to go in the room, helped me select the wall paint color and rug. I will absolutely use Lisa again when we are in need of the next makeover to a "teen" room.
