Good points - My husband and I are not contractors and were able to put this together fairly easily. It looks GORGEOUS. We used a wood preservative stain on all of the pieces BEFORE assembly and then let it dry for several days prior to construction. The cedar stain brought out the blush tones in the wood. The cedar aroma is intoxicating. We got the 8' x 12' cabana for our yard. It arrived shipped from Canada on a huge truck and was loaded on a pallet. The driver was able to bring from the driveway to our carport where we took the bundle apart and noted that all pieces were there and intact. The trim parts are all labeled. Bad points - Some of the wood appears to be seconds. The roof is a massive project that requires at LEAST 3 people. The larger sections weigh over 80 pounds and will need to be hoisted up and held in place until they can be nailed in. My son teetered on a ladder while holding each section in place while my husband hurried to get them nailed in place. Some of the directions are not really clear, maybe an instructional DVD would be a better choice or, at the very least, a link to a video online that can be accessed. The door can be super tricky to install if your measurements are not perfectly square. It would have been nice of the floor sections were pre-assembled. You WILL need a saw, drill, lots of patience, chalk, rulers, levels. It does come with a really nice drill bit. Bottom line? Extended family already want one after seeing ours!
