We loved working with Claudia & Kerem. Stage 1 of our project was a 2 storey back & side double height extension, completely re-building a 1930’s house. After winning it at auction as 2 bedsits, it was hard to imagine, until A2 brought their vision & together we managed to recreate some of the original feel to the front of the house whilst modernising & personalising the house to the ‘industrial chic’ vibe I was looking for! We have recently completed stage 2 of our build- the loft & again with the help of A2 we have our dream home. I would highly recommend them, as Kerem’s attention to planning detail together with Claudia’s interior vision is an excellent combination to turn any house into to a home.

Claudia and Kerem have done 3 majors projects for me. They redesigned and renovated a farmhouse in Hertfordshire, and also modernised and redesigned two apartments, in Highgate. The mamagers of the apartment block were so impressed that they hired them to redesign the main lobby and the lobbies on each floor! I cannot recommend them highly enough! Each project was done on time and to Budget. They even coped with my crippling indecision! We ended up being really good friends, which is not something you can say about every designer, and architect!

A2studio is a very friendly team. Claudia, Kerem and Ozer helped with the renovation of our bathrooms and kitchen. Claudia included my ideas within the design and Kerem kept in close contact with me when the work was carried out. I am very pleased with results.

Claudia and Kerem were a great team and we are thrilled with our new (old) house. They came up with creative ideas we would never have thought of and have made our ground floor feel twice the size it was. We use all of the house now and it is a delight to live in.

We wanted to say what a pleasure it was to work with A2 Studio and have them on board to help design and plan the whole of the ground floor in our Victorian terrace including our new Kitchen, WC, living room, under-stairs storage cupboards and Garden. Claudia and Kerem gave us fantastic advice and support when we decided to do a major redevelopment of our house (see the photos for Park Avenue North). We particularly valued their creative thoughts on layout and design, including suggesting options for key features, which really made the difference to our project – our living space is practical and works well for everyday living and the design has a real wow factor. We were so happy that we asked Claudia to design us a new build holiday home, and we’ve just been back to her again to get her thoughts on how to reconfigure our loft.

A2 Studio were the architects responsible for a complete overhaul of our 50’s modern terraced house in Hampstead, London. The scope of works included a side extension, basement excavation and complete renovation of the house. A2 Studio ran the whole project including project management, building works overview and design. The renovated house has a great family space downstairs, a place for children on the first floor, and a large bedroom and small guest suite at the top of the house. The main feature of the house is the new kitchen with high ceilings and a living area with a small patio. We found A2 studio to be very professional and knowledgeable in architecture and interior design, while also being very approachable and pleasant to work with. We would highly recommend Claudia, Kerem and Ozer as interior and architectural designers as well as the project managers for a complete renovation of a house and also for smaller projects.

Kerem, Claudia and Ozer at A2 are the fantastic team who have taken us through the complete modernisation, renovation and extension of our Victorian house. Their work covered planning permission, tendering and project management. They really impressed from the first meeting because they really listened to understand what we wanted, had demonstrable technical knowledge and creative ideas. This stood up throughout the entire project. They could translate what we wanted into excellent designs, showed great attention to detail, problem solved and offered excellent advice as things progressed. They were always careful to explain pros, cons and our choices. As project managers they are fantastically calm, and organised. They coordinated and communicated with the myriad contractors and suppliers involved in a project of this size. We really appreciated the professional and temperate way that they advocated on our behalf and resolved issues so we didn’t have additional stress. They also had excellent integrity in flagging where our budget might be being stressed and were constructive about how to work through this. Finally I would say that they are incredibly nice people, down to earth and great to work with. Its hard to know at the start the value of liking and trusting people you are working with. We’ve really loved the whole process and are so happy in our beautiful home. We’re hugely grateful to A2 for being such an integral part of this.

Our old kitchen and dining-area were in desperate need of remodelling. We commissioned A2 Studio to prepare a design that resulted in swapping around our dining room and kitchen and knocking down an internal wall or two! to create a wonderful open plan space that employed an old storeroom and provided a new WC under the stairs. The design captured our thoughts and vision completely and Claudia and Kerem ensured any period features were retained while inserting some understated and modern complementary elements. Kerem also designed the star feature - a striking, huge pivot door (and accompanying window both in American Cherry), that leads out into a revamped previously underused internal courtyard. During the project, Claudia (who designed the interiors) and Kerem were brilliant, providing much-needed guidance, ideas and support and always going the extra mile. They were professional throughout and brought a great deal of care and thought to every aspect. We cannot recommend them enough!

We started working with A2 Studio in 2011 to complete a contemporary bathroom extension and refurbishment of our North London Victorian Maisonette. Kerem and Claudia took time to understand our vision; what we hoped to achieve architecturally, and applied their expertise to the full in helping us refine ideas to bring together existing traditional and new modern concepts to create a new, exciting, practical and light space. As with many build projects, ours wasn’t without it’s challenges, but throughout we greatly valued their measured, professional and calm approach. It was a pleasure to work with them in achieving the project.

Kerem and Claudia at A2studio gave us a professional and personal experience. They took us through the process of planning our extension and getting it built. They helped us find a very reliable builder who delivered the finished product to a high standard. They ensured we made the right decisions for us so that we have a beautiful extension with some really interesting features such as a large oak oriel window which is great to sit or lie down in while enjoying the view of the garden.

We have approached A2studio after seeing their fabulous work across the internet. The challenge was to develop a layout plan and design ideas to turn the 34sqm, near un-inhabitable Victorian flat that we had just bought into a stylish, comfortable, and secure flat for 2. The second challenge was to do that on a budget as tiny as the flat itself. Claudia of A2studio agreed to help us with this task. She viewed the place with us, discussed options and needs, visited our old place to get a feeling for our style and furniture, and then drew various plans and designs to discuss. We discussed and refined the design until we found a perfect solution that makes great use of the space while looking at the same time contemporary-cool and cosy, and exhibiting some charming period features. Claudia suggested building in sliding doors that could remain wide open during the day to create a sense of airiness and space despite the small dimensions, but could be closed whenever privacy or rest are needed. She developed a bathroom layout and design that produces the regular „wow!“ effect from our guests and is also highly practical. She provided us with specific suggestions for colors, sofas, lamps, switches, tiles, and etc. She even visited potential suppliers with us to explore options best fitting our space, the design and our budget. The end result is fabulous! The 20sqm kitchen/living room holds everything a much larger home would hold: A living room area with sofa, rocking chair and exposed brick wall with chimney; a small worktop with computer and IT stuff. The Ikea kitchen boasts a 4m wooden worktop, including a breakfast bar that separates kitchen from living area. The room also holds space for a full-sized dinner table for 3 people as well as enough storage for cleaning and decoration materials. The bedroom feels light-flooded and calm. The built-in wardrobe and the bespoke headboard behind the bed, all designed by Claudia and her team, give it a specific style, while getting the most storage and use out of the limited amount of space. Claudia was passionately involved with the project and provided a great service. We are very happy with her excellent work and recommend A2studio whole-heartedly.

We used A2 for the ground floor renovation of our Victorian terraced house. Kerem and Claudia were full of interesting and innovative ideas and were able to communicate these effectively. They were responsive to our ideas making the whole process a very collaborative and enjoyable experience. They also put us in touch with an excellent local builder. We are thrilled with the results.

Claudia and Kerem from A2 Studio were the interior and architectural designers for a complete overhaul of a Victorian terraced house in Harringay. Scope of works included a side return extension, opening up of the ground floor layout, new kitchen, new bathroom, addition of a new understairs toilet and a loft dormer. A2 Studio were involved in the project from start to finish, even assisting us in finding the right property to suit our requirements for a home that would feel spacious and light, yet also provide cosy and intimate areas. As a result, our renovated house offers a great space for entertaining guests downstairs, a place for kids to sleep and play on the first floor, and a large and light-filled bedroom 'away from it all' at the top of the house. New aluminium framed glazing at the back of the house was a particular focus of the rebuild, and A2 Studio provided us with great suggestions for making sure we bring in as much light as possible into every part of the house. More specifically, a large skylight in the side return extension was important in achieving this, and the ground floor feels light and open during all seasons, even on dark and gloomy winter afternoons. From the outset Claudia showed great patience and fingerspitzengefuehl to ensure all our wishes were met. She was very enthusiastic throughout the whole process and helped us with design ideas ranging from issues such as kitchen work flow to a suitable lamp for our hallway. Kerem proved to be the detail and design-oriented architect we needed to fulfill our vision. He was happy to come to our work site to supervise progress and discussed all steps of the works carried out with our builders at great length, making sure we would get the end result we wished for. We found both Claudia and Kerem to be very professional, while also being extremely approachable and pleasant to work with. They always found the time to discuss ideas with us – even if that meant adding to or overhauling our initial design scope. We would highly recommend Claudia and Kerem as interior and architectural designers, whether it is for a complete rebuild of your home or a ground floor kitchen extension.
