About Us

We are a creative landscape architecture and design firm led by principal Julie Moir Messervy. Every JMMDS-designed residential landscape is unique. From intimate urban courtyards, to sweeping New England farmland properties, and tropical hideaways, each of our landscapes is inspired by the particular site as well as the homeowners’ imagination, memories, and aesthetic preferences. The JMMDS team shepherds the process from start to finish, creating conceptual and schematic designs and overseeing all the details of installation and planting. Julie Moir Messervy Design Studio (JMMDS) is a local firm that has volunteered designs for our local Library's renovation, some of which was implemented last Fall. Also, as a bookstore owner, I have attended many of Julie's well-attended landscape design workshops. She has written several excellent books that are useful for home gardeners.
