It was a pleasure to work on this project alongside you, albeit, it is unfortunate to see a minor defect eliminate the co-operation built when we’ve renovated your entire house.
Accordingly, it’s upsetting to see that you’ve included a few inaccuracies to present us in a negative light which we’d like to iron out.
We’ve closely followed the manufactures specification regarding the installation of the DPC, we’ve provided photographic evidence of our installation as well as, responded immediately when you’ve provided your surveyors report. They’ve concluded that issues arose from lack of air circulation and ventilation in a cellar under a concrete staircase, therefore, we’ve installed an extractor fan to rectify any issues.
Nevertheless, we were more than happy to rectify and make good any snagging items, we’ve reached out to schedule a snagging retention meeting, which you’ve accepted and shortly after cancelled alongside, denying us access to review any potential defects.
The completion and snagging/ retention payment constitute 2.5% respectively of the total project cost which account for work we have already completed on your project during the construction phase as per the contract. Moreover, you’re already holding and refusing to pay over £15,000 which includes additional works for you.
We are doing our level best to be reasonable and would like to find a resolution and ensure that the project is completed, and all issues are resolved for you. Again, please do reconsider, and allow us to come in and proceed with the work and complete this project and issue your warranty after practical completion (after 6 months snagging retention works according to the signed Master Federation contract).
