Sagatov Design-Build actually made a major home renovation a fun, exciting (and painless) process. From start to finish, they helped us in every way. My husband and I knew we wanted a change but had no idea where to start. They first asked about our lifestyle because they wanted to create a space that worked with how we lived. They provided creative ideas and listened to our needs (more storage!). They finished on time and have been very responsive to any questions or problems that have come up, even months after completion. The end result was beyond anything I could have imagined...stunning. Several neighbors have commented how efficiently the space is used...every room in the house has a function and fits our personality. Yuri, Katie, Stephen, Allan, Sabrina, Laura...they are the dream team!

We hired Sagatov Associates for a complete renovation and "pop top" of a 1950's time capsule 3 BR brick rambler. We wanted an open floorplan, modern interior and an exterior that kept with the original mid-century feel of the neighborhood. Yuri came to our home several times throughout the design process with computer layouts and sketches. He was attentive to our opinions, and even allowed me to completely redesign the location of our stairs. He contributed many creative new design elements for our renovation. We opted for a "green renovation" and were Sagatov's first geothermal heating and cooling system installation in a remodeled home. This required drilling 2 deep wells in our backyard, but it was worth it. Our total utility bills never exceed $200 per month for a 4,500 sq ft home!! Green building materials and insulation were also important to us. Laura, our selections coordinator, spent countless hours helping us sort through lighting, plumbing, tile, cabinets, etc, both in person and by email. She was instrumental at keeping us within budget (for example, we met at a beautiful tile store, and she immediately steered me to the options that were in my price range, saving me lots of time and money!). I was then able to splurge on a fancy backsplash. The project managers and staff were very attentive and professional throughout the process. We moved out for 5 months and were able to move back on time. Our punch list items were addressed over time, and now, as our house decided to settle 3 years post-remodel, they are coming back to fix misaligned doors and ceiling cracks! Highly recommend.

We hired Sagatov to do a gut renovation of our house, and they created our dream home. We could not be happier with the results. The Sagatov team took account of our needs while creating a gorgeous modern design. Their construction and execution were superb. Our project manager, being a perfectionist, made sure that everything was built well. They were very responsive to our inquiries and made sure that we were kept up-to-date on the project status. Best of all, the whole team was so nice and wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better experience or home. The Sagatov team made our house renovation process into a stress-free and fun experience.

We contracted with Sagatov and Associates to design and build our new home in Arlington. They made the design phase very simple for us, providing several designs and talking through what we liked/disliked about each. Once they heard our feedback, designs would be tweaked until we came up with a design that we wanted to proceed with. Due to lot size limitations, our home is 20ft wide by 85ft long. We initially had concerns that it would feel very narrow, but Yuri and Lou reassured us that that they were designing elements that would ensure that wasn’t the case. They provided various renderings and organized tours of other homes they had designed to help provide us with visuals. The project team consisted of Lou, Yuri, Allan, Jobi, and Laura who were all fantastic throughout. Yuri coordinated frequent meetings to provide updates on construction and provide additional designs/information to aid the decision making process. His team was always accessible. It was extremely helpful having one team oversee everything from design, to construction, to interior design as they had a complete understanding of the overall vision for the house.

We could not be happier with our new home or the Sagatov team. From the first drawing to the delivery of the keys every employee at Sagatov approached our project as if they were remodeling their own homes. Our home design was not plucked out of a book, but was the result of skilled engineers and craftsman taking our ideas and making them real. What could have been the most trying of family times turned into the most fruitful, collaborative effort we have ever undertaken. There were no surprises with Sagatov. The lines of communication were always open and our interaction uncommonly congenial. The result was a stunning renovation of a 1947 Colonial into a 2013 modern conversation piece.

They did a wonderful job. My husband and I built a custom house with Sagatov. When people ask how the experience was, I can truthfully say it was NOT stressful! This is amazing, as this was a very large undertaking. They walked us through the process from start to finish, providing great recommendations & suggestions. And the outcome is wonderful.

Sagatov recently completed our new home and we couldn't be happier with the results. When people found out we were building a new house without fail all warned us about the stress and frustration of the process and often asked how over budget and delayed the project was. With Sagatov none of this occurred. Their professionalism, responsiveness and extreme attention to detail made this process very easy and frankly enjoyable for my wife and I. Their entire design process of asking the right questions about how we will use the space and then coming up with unique and creative design elements to achieve those objectives is what I believe sets them apart and directly contributed to the stress-free process. They hold their sub-contractors to the same high level of professionalism so that from beginning to end the process is truly seamless. Can't say enough and can't recommend Sagatov enough.

We recently completed an addition with Sagaov, and couldn't be happier about the results. The entire process was so thoughtfully planned and attended to by Yuri and his team. They have done a number of projects in our area, but each feels custom because they truly consider how the space will be used. They took care of every last detail, and I can honestly say that we never worried about the outcome. We initially chose Sagatov Design-Build because we felt their aesthetic closely matched ours, and that made a huge difference because we were on the same page throughout the process, which, in turn, kept things moving on time. I highly recommend them- our reno was such a positive experience.

Yuri Sagatov and his associates designed and remodeled our 1950 two-story lakefront ranch-style home into a beautiful sun capturing dream house. From the moment you enter the unassuming house you are captured by the 180-degree view of the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lake and downstairs main living area from the wrap around entry, sitting area and piano loft. Guest rooms also occupy the upper floor. The open kitchen, great room and dining room were originally upstairs and moved to the lakefront walkout area with two story windows overlooking the lake. He captured our every desire for a livable and sophisticated waterfront home while working within our limited budget. The plans stepped us through every detail, cost and schedule. In addition his associates helped us pick out appliances, plumbing, tile, lighting, paint, flooring and every other imaginable detail that might have overwhelmed us, but didn't due to their friendly manner and patience. We loved working with Yuri.

Sagatov Design-Build and its people surpassed our expectations in every way; they made the home building process enjoyable and exciting, with a minimum of mid-project trauma. We engaged them to build a new home on a lot in North Arlington (with the demolition of the existing home included in the process). They listened to what we thought we wanted, gave us a couple of design sketches to help us fine-tune what we wanted, and then incorporated that feedback into a detailed set of elevations that helped us really understand how the house we were designing would fit and feel on our lot. When there were large cost-benefit decisions to be made, they flagged them so we could choose where we really wanted to spend "special" dollars, and they worked with us tirelessly through the (sometimes seemingly endless) process of choosing fixtures and finished (we wanted to be hands on rather than turn that part over, so they helped us navigate the complicated channels of unlimited options). The finished home was much more beautiful and livable than even we had hoped, and there were very few post-construction issues (and the ones that arose were dealt with graciously, expeditiously and completely under warranty). When Yuri or Mark or their team needed access to our home, they always left it as they found it (and with all of our dogs and cats still inside the house:) ). In short, we had an awesome experience with this company and its people and can't recommend them highly enough.

While not the original owners of our Sagatov house, we have been impressed by the commitment this company has to their homes. After buying our house, Yuri Sagatov offered to come out and walk through our house with us. He spent quite a bit of time explaining the various features of our home which was invaluable and interesting since he designed the house. We have also been able to use their interior design team who have been excellent in helping us find furniture to compliment the unique architecture of the home. If we were ever to build a new house we would not hesitate to choose Sagatov--their great design, attention to detail, and approachability make them unparalleled in their market.
