Mark developed a surprising, absolutely delightful solution to update our Los Altos Hills ranch house, specifically what had been a dated bathroom/bedroom/hallway. He utterly reimagined the space, turning it from something standard into something contemporary, warm and elegant, with beautiful materials to boot. We still can't get over the transformation! Mark had deep experience in every aspect of our remodel. His ability to think outside the box is just extraordinary. He is smart, talented, conscientious, respectful and prompt. Could not recommend him more.

We contacted mark Pearcy at the recommendation of our general contractor for a major remodel we were contemplating in Belmont CA. After a brief meeting and discussion, we selected him to be the architect for the project. During a walk through of the existing house, we described some of the desirable attributes which we were seeking in the remodel. In a relatively short time, mark produced three conceptual sketches for the remodel, including kitchen, bathrooms, dining area, pantry, and closet layouts Also provided were options for front elevation and roof configuration. We Then extracted characteristics we liked the most from each of the three plans for Mark, and he produced a layout of the new floor plan etc. followed by a complete set of plans including plumbing and electrical. Throughout the planning and construction phases of the project, Mark was available and actively involved in the project whenever needed. Few changes were made from the very set of complete plans which were submitted for permits. Also, his thorough knowledge of building codes was very beneficial. Mark is very polite, honest, creative, and straight-forward, and I would highly recommend him as an architect to anyone. We think highly enough of him, that our daughter and family have engaged him to design a kitchen remodel for them.

I recommend Mark Pearcy Architecture unreservedly. Mark was the architect on a substantial, multi-phase re-model and addition to our home. He is creative, totally honest and completely accessible. From the initial idea-gathering phase, through drawings, city approval, and construction, Mark was always ready to consider the challenge from all angles. It was such a pleasure to work and collaborate with Mark: he is a great listener, easy to talk to, and up to date on all the latest technology. His translation of our ideas into 3D images made it all come to life! If we came upon an unforeseen problem during demolition or construction, Mark was quick with a response and solution. His rates are extremely competitive, and I would describe his design aesthetic as simple and stylish, clean and current, with environmental consideration. Call Mark--you will be glad you did!

Mark is so easy to work with! He's very thoughtful and listens so well. He managed to make our house, a boxy 1970's ranch, into an open, functional contemporary home. Its full of light and takes advantage of our awesome views. Mark was on-time, on-budget. I wouldn't work with any other architect.

Having Mark as our architect was the best part of the process of building our house. It was a complicated site to build on, and we had a number of elements that we wanted included. He was able to incorporate all of our needs. Mark was extremely well-versed in space usage and flow, and now after living in the house for almost two years we are very happy with how the floor plan worked out. Mark also designed many of the interesting decorative elements of the house such as the front door, fireplace, etc. These custom elements give our house the character that so many people like. The construction plans were extremely detailed and Mark was very thorough in following- up with the contractor to ensure quality during the building process. On top of all of his expertise, Mark has the perfect personality for a design professional. He diligently listened to us and made sure to collaborate with us. We feel like this is truly our house, but made more beautiful and efficient by working with him. We could not recommend him highly enough.
