Bryson was congenial and very helpful in presenting various ideas and suggestions. He listened to our desires and visited our site to better understand our vision. He worked well with our builder. We love the finished product.

We found out the hard way that building our dream home was actually a nightmare, without the right team in place to help get us there. My husband and I bought our lot over six years ago, with the intention to build two years later. To save money, we had a family friend draw up our first set of house plans. Needless to say, we got what we paid for, which wasn’t great. We then tried again to get it right with a different architect, and while the plans were much better, they still weren’t what we were envisioning. We then decided to step up our game and hire Carrick Custom Home Design, which was the best decision we made. We met with Bryson and shared our vision with him, along with what our budget would allow. To say we were blown away, when he sent over the first draft of plans and elevations, would be an understatement. Bryson created a tailored and unique house plan that superseded our wishes. The living spaces flow seamlessly together, while captivating the mountain and valley views so beautifully! While building the home, we had several of the subcontractors comment on how they liked how different our layout is, compared to the almost too predictable homes they work on every day. Bryson truly outdid himself on our house plans, and we could not be happier! Moral of the story, just spend the extra money up front to do it right the first time. Hiring the right architect for your project will not only save money, but priceless time.

Drew was awesome to work with and very knowledgeable. He had great ideas as well. I highly recommend! We haven’t built the home yet.

Met with Drew on a few occasions to discuss our remodel and review the progress. Drew was always willing to collaborate on our ideas and to provide his input to insure that we would have the best possible outcome.

This was our second time working with JCD. We loved our first home so much, the design and flow that we knew we had to go back to JCD. Honestly the whole team there is great to work with! They all came up with new ideas and creative ways to move walls and increase the height and help us to see the vison of our forever home. They were so kind to work with, I know they spent overtime just trying to finish our home design and get what we really wanted. I love how they would talk to us, grab some of our ideas but at the same time use their expertise and talent to create and bring to life something so beautiful and livable. We are so excited to build our forever home!

Dan White is highly professional, thorough, knowledgeable and innovative in this architectural design. He is able to offer you a timely design that is not only beautiful but also maximizes my space and dollars. I built only a small 300 ADU on my 3rd deck, and I love the 4 stacked stairs to balcony and also how the design matched the existing house as it appeared to be a part of the existing house. Prior to Dan, I had another Drafter draw up some designs and none of them was satisfactory. Dan listened intently and knew what I wanted or in many cases knew I was struggling with how to maximize the space and what I can do due to the lack of space and Dan created a sensible design with best view and flow by his first attempt! Mostly importantly, Dan has is own family and understands that our homes are where memories are made, families flourish and is our sanctuary from stress. With this mindset, he makes every design with passion and is dedicated to ensure it is the best most economical vision as if he was building his own house/space. It was a complete comfort and pleasure to work with Dan because he was always present as he responded throughout the project when there were changes/amendments/hiccups etc. I highly recommend Jackson and his company because I tell you in construction, the exceptional professionals are a RARE find! Want the real story on Carrick Custom Home Design? I’ll give it to you… The idea of building our dream home was one thing; actually building it was a whole other story. We had no idea what we were getting into or the amount of work and stress it would demand of us. Let’s just say, we plan for this to be our forever home. We’ve been in the home now for 9 months, and it took around two years to complete. The home is around 12,000 SQF, with a naturally lit indoor basketball/pickleball court, indoor trampolines, theater, weight room, water park, and more. Our house IS the hangout house for our kids, their friends, and our friends. We’ve been through 50+ subs and hundreds of workers, and it is only having gone through this process in its entirety that one can truly appreciate people like James and his team. James has the emotional intelligence of a board-certified therapist, the communication skills of a hostage negotiator, and the creativity of a DreamWorks animator. Without question he was the most calm and comforting presence throughout the entire experience. Trust me, you are going to need a James on your team. Your dream, that thing inside your head, is literally his to envision and architect into reality. We sent him a few inspiration pics, coupled with some vague descriptions of what we thought we had in mind. He took our pics, our ideas, and our odd-shaped lot and slowly but surely, through dozens of iterations and renderings, he manifested what we didn’t even know was possible…so much more than we ever expected. We have many friends who have built homes that shared all kinds of things they wished they had done differently, thought of, made bigger, made smaller, found useless, etc…My wife and I have asked each other, “Has there been anything you wished we had that we didn’t do or wished that we’d done differently?” Our answer, “nothing.” The home is more than we could have ever dreamed of, and it was only with the help of a visionary like James that it was made possible. We love you, James. Thank you for the countless memories we’ve already made and the millions more to come. If I were a betting man, I’d put it all on James and Carrick Custom Home Designs.

We were going to hire an architect to design our home, but we happened to stumble onto JCD and their incredible collections of beautiful home designs. We were able to find one that was almost exactly what we wanted. Bryson and his team were able to easily make a few adjustments to create the perfect home for our family. Our HOA was very demanding, and Bryson was responsive to make all the adjustments. We couldn't be more pleased with our plans, and everything was done for a very reasonable price. JCD is a true talent in the industry of home designs. They have always had good attention to detail with an outstanding reputation. I always feel comfortable knowing we are building one of their designs as I don't have any issues or an overpriced design. I'm a proud preferred build with JCD and I refer work to them as often as I'm able.
