Our house was built in 1906 and we love the character of the older features in our home. It is important to us to retain the character of the original build, and to also reflect current trends in colour and style. We have worked with Teresa on two occasions, and have been thrilled both times with the outcomes. Five years ago, Teresa chose a colour scheme for our home that accomplished both goals.The choices made our home seem more modern and also retained the beauty of the original features. We are extremely happy with her choices, and have had many compliments from friends and relatives. In March, Teresa and I discussed how we could upgrade our kitchen, some aspects of the living room, and our entrance area. She was again able to choose just what we needed! We upgraded our cabinetry in the kitchen, added some decorative features to the living room, and utilized the entrance way space more beautifully and effectively! Teresa is thoughtful, artisitic, and thorough. My husband and I recommend highly her, and will be engaging her services again!

Through the wonders of technology we have been able to reconnect with our favorite designer. We are returning clients who worked with Design Inspirations when we lived in Alberta. We were thrilled with the results then. We now live on Vancouver Island and Teresa Lee (Design Inspirations) has moved to St. Catharine's ON, so meeting in person is much less feasible. Today, we had a very productive consultation using online methods (Facebook messenger with video). By sending her photos and doing a live virtual tour of the spaces -- both inside and outside the house -- Teresa was able to provide some great ideas and design suggestions as well as share several useful websites for us to research colours, draperies, etc. . We talked for almost 2 hours and look forward to continuing our beneficial relationship!

We were impressed form the start and happy with the end results! During our initial consult Teresa came through our house and provided us with some great ideas and a starting point for our decorating and renovation project. This initial consult was well worth the money which is why, after meeting with the others that we were considering, we chose to work with Teresa on our project. We were starting with a dated, 90s style build. Our project was to finish furnishing the house, renovate the kitchen area, and update and brighten the living space with paint and lighting. Teresa assisted us with selecting the right paint colours, blinds, furniture, fixtures, counter tops and developing a plan and timetable for getting everything completed on time! With her vision and guidance we were able to work around the few existing furniture pieces – repainted a tv console, new cushions for a sofa, & modernized our fireplace by removing an old, oversized mirror above it and repainting the area to transform it into an attractive focal point for the room. Throughout the process she had great ideas and suggestions and was able to provide us with great options that fit our property and lifestyle. Teresa stayed within our budget and understood the goals and needs we had for the property – there are many beautiful furniture pieces that, when we eventually move, are still versatile enough to be used in other settings. Throughout the process she was able to suggest contractors and other professionals to help with electrical work, cabinet refinishing & painting, blinds, and countertops. After all the main furniture pieces and renovations were complete she was able to bring the house to life and tie everything together by adding some artwork and decorations to the house at a reasonable price. We are happy with the results and highly recommend meeting and working with her!

Teresa is wonderful to work with and very talented. She was able to work with our existing style and bring it up several thousand notches! She is very attentive to detail, and spent hours patiently going over fabrics, and colours and art with us. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results and look forward to working with her again!

Teresa was very professional and a pleasure to work with. She created a plan to redesign our kitchen and we absolutely love it! We have double the storage space we had previously and the finished product is beautiful; all our friends have ‘kitchen envy’. We renovated our whole first floor with hardwood floors, new ceilings with pot lights and opened up the floor plan. She had great contacts and a wonder sense of style. We recently bought a new house after staying greater than 20 years in our first one. We hired Teresa at Design Inspirations after seeing the testimonials/ photos on Houzz. We were planning in speaking to a few interior designers before deciding- but upon meeting Teresa for the first time, we instantly felt confident that we would be in good hands. And she performed beyond our expectations. She ensured that she was completely familiar with our style, but at the same time, encouraged us to step beyond our comfort zone. For example, she suggested a particular fabric for curtains for which at first I was not entirely convinced but decided to go ahead. The curtains look absolutely spectacular and everyone comments on them when visiting our home. We just love our new living room and I know for certain that we could never have achieved it without Teresa. She is absolutely meticulous - for example would check every fabric under different lights to make sure that it was suitable. She has excellent taste and we totally trusted her to guide us. And in the end, there is not one thing I would change about our room Teresa is entirely professional, and reliable and a real pleasure to work with.
