Mr Hauck has a true eye for detail and an amazing ability to truly capture exactly what the client is looking for in a home, He takes into account the type of person he is designing for as well as their needs and wants and finishes with a design that is both functional, modern and unique. I can see from his past designs that he has a real love of what he does and does not consider it as a job, Which is reflected in all his artistically inspired designs. I am looking forward to viewing his future designs.

We worked with Dustin on a second floor master suite addition on a tight budget. He was very helpful in understanding what we wanted to accomplish and coming up with ideas to achieve our goals and proposing potential cost saving ideas when possible. He was very responsive to our questions and helpful in getting us through the permitting process with the city. We would perhaps have liked a little more communication when structural issues caused minor design changes, but I believe Dustin was just trying to help us accelerate the schedule by pushing the process forward. In the end, it only cost us a little more to re-print some plans before submission to the city. We are moving into the contractor selection process, and Dustin continues to provide guidance to help us avoid common pitfalls. Looking forward to construction and seeing how his design turns out, especially my larger closet!

I hired Dustin to design a deck off the rear of my house. Although the project was not huge in scope, Dustin was extremely responsive to my needs. The scope of his work included presenting at a Homeowners meeting, and guiding the plans through the City of San DIego. We just completed a major home remodel. We worked with another architect on the first design stages of our home remodel. For various reasons, we parted ways with him and decided to call Dustin Hauck (who had bid out the job initially but we made the mistake of not hiring him from the start). Dustin jumped right in to the project and was very responsive to our budget and needs. He came up with creative ideas and was incredibly easy to work with, including being a great team player with our designer, contractor, and landscape designer. He followed his timeline and budget perfectly. His firm is experienced working with the city to submit plans and receive permits and everything went as he predicted. I have already recommended him to a friend who is using him.

My husband and I are so glad we hired Dustin to be the architect on our remodel. It set the right tone for the huge project and definitely helped define the entire nature of a big remodel. Our house was built in 1935, and my husband and I were hoping that the original, rustic A-frame look of the house be maintained from the outside, while creating a more modern, open and flowing design on the inside. From our first meeting with Dustin, we were convinced that he knew exactly what our vision was. He was patient, polite and professional throughout the entire process, and even came in to meet with our contractors a couple of times to clarify some tricky issues with the overall structural issues of our lovely old house. We've moved back into our house now, and not a day goes by when my husband and I don't comment on some new and updated part of the architecture of our home that we love. We have random people telling us how much they love that we maintained the original A-frame look of the house, and our friends cannot believe how different and open the inside is. We are so glad we went with Hauck Architecture, and would recommend them with no reservations whatsoever!
