“We had the pleasure of working with Declan Sexton & Son’s on units for our playroom. We required the design to be hard wearing and multifunctional, in order to incorporate wardrobe, toy, books and media storage but it also had to be stylish. Having approached Declan with the vision we had in mind I was instantly impressed with his prompt response, professionalism and in-depth design and quote stating the cost of each individual unit in the project. He had taken on board everything we had discussed and I had given him a rough sketch of what we needed and what we thought would fit the space, Declan was the utmost professional and took our very amateur drawing and worked from that producing a number of options for us to choose from, a replica of our sketch but also what he felt would suit the space best and provide the functionality we needed. Based on his experience and expertise we went with one of his designs. His quote was very competitive but it was the quality of his work and his customer relations that swayed it for us. As the client our requirements were of utmost importance to him. Once the design and colour was finalised it was only a matter of weeks before David and Michael arrived with the units ready for fitting. At the fitting stage their professionalism was ever evident again. They both worked tirelessly for the day and the finish was impeccable. We were hardly aware they were in the house as they went about their work without any intrusion or disruption to our family. I was like a child at Christmas and constantly interrupted them to see how they were progressing and at all times David and Michael were happy to keep me updated. They left our home immaculate taking everything with them when they were finished. The furniture they provided for us has enhanced not only the value of our home but the way we live our lives daily allowing us as a family to interact in an area that is functional, stylish and classically designed. “We have now returned to live in our home following extensive renovations taking 5 months. Indeed, our home feels like a new house!! The main part of the work was a "re-imagination of the Kitchen / Living area. Our Architect and Builder have, with a terrific team, remodelled the back of our 1960s house and we are thrilled with the result. A key to the excellent finished product was our Kitchen Designer : Peter Bernard Ltd have worked before with our Architect. We heard good reports and really were taken by one which we had seen recently installed. From start to finish, Pater was superb. He came to visit us before the work commenced and later in our rented accommodation to discuss all of it. He was very Hands-On, collaborating very well with Architect and Builder. We encountered Peter on a number of occasions on-site. Peter takes a painstaking approach to his work and is utterly professional, pleasant and thorough. At the end of the project, he fitted-out and installed a superb Pantry area, tailoring shelving to our personal requirements. This area is, for us, a beautifully- equipped space with a lovely door which Peter created specifically for the corner space into which it fits. A wonderful job; we would heartily recommend Peter's work.”
