“We hired the services of April House Garden in 2021 to design the landscape of our newly rebuilt cottage. Fast forward to the end of 2023 the garden looks incredibly beautiful which includes a diverse assortment of flowers, plants, and some trees. Theo came up with the initial design and adjusted where needed and was very knowledgeable with current trends and themes that are representative of the current markets. He created the layout and plantage of the garden which was a complete makeover and transformation. “I had a fairly large border (approx 8m x 5m) which had been neglected for a few years. I wanted to create a low maintenance flower bed and liked the idea of a country garden look. Ben and Paul came round and assessed what was there in terms of position (light/shade), soil and the shrubs which were worth retaining. We also discussed budget. I then received a planting plan with a quotation and commissioned the work. The bed was cleared and planted mid June and I am delighted with the result. I now have a bed which will flower more or less from May to September and will require increasingly less maintenance as it matures. FGD are extremely knowledgeable and gave me advice on other areas of my garden (not areas which will result in work for them). I do have another two areas which do need a makeover and I will certainly commission them to undertake the project.”

“We knew our garden needed a revamp, and we wanted it to be “grown-up” but still welcoming, but had few preconceived ideas. Not being gardeners ourselves, we didn’t have any plant knowledge but knew the styles we did and didn’t like. Peter, through relaxed discussion and an exchange of images, of gardens and plants, somehow managed to gauge the sort of thing we were hoping for. We were genuinely excited by Peter’s design when we saw it on paper and it was a pleasure to see the reality appearing gradually as the work progressed. We now have a garden we love and can be proud of – relaxed and elegant at the same time. Almost a year on, we still smile every time we look out of the window. The garden has remained a wonderful focal point throughout the winter months, thanks to Peter's thoughtful planting, and with Spring not far off, we are looking forward to the bulbs Peter introduced us to putting in an appearance.”

“18 months ago I wanted to change part of my garden which had become overgrown. I decided to contact a young company for ideas , and Stathis suggested that he create a Woodland garden. We discussed a variety of bulbs , ferns , scrubs, and plants that would be appropriate together with a layout. I am extremely pleased with the outcome and I consider it excellent value.”

“Fabulous! Deborah has just given me the vision and concept needed for my garden. We moved into our home 5 years ago, which came with basically a reclaimed field.... Although we have made small changes to our garden we have lacked the vision of how to change an undulated field into a garden. I contacted Deborah who turned around a fabulous design in two weeks to match the items I had asked for. This will be a project we take a few years to achieve, but can now see the overall plan. Very reasonable price and great service.”
