We bought our new home in March. It had been rented long term and was in desperate need of rennovating . The work involved was quite overwhelming and on the advice of numerous work colleagues I enlisted the services of Dee at Yellow Gate Design. Dee was fantastic to work with . She gave great advice on colour choices throughout the the house and other interiors advice from bathroom tile layout to soft furnishings that would work with specific colours . She also provided a superb follow up service and I was welcomed to keep in touch for any further advice I needed. Yellow Gate Design provided a fantastic service from start to finish and I couldnt recommend Dee highly enough .

We really enjoyed working with Dee at Yellow Gate and would highly recommend. Dee helped us plan the the interior design for our living room and kitchen/dining/sitting room. She was able to listen to our tastes, needs, how we live in the house, what we need from it, and propose a plan suited to our needs AND our budget! It is a great service and not only is it affordable, for us it was also cost-effective as we have avoided making costly mistakes such as getting sizes, combinations and styles wrong, realising that just because it looks good on Pinterest it doesn't mean it will work for your house!! I guess if you have a vision of what you want but lack experience in implementing it, this is a really good option. Dee has a fantastic eye for space and design and helped us create the place we actually wanted, minus a great degree of trial and error on our part :)

I cannot speak highly enough about Deirdre, i am currently in the process of building a house and everything was going smoothly until i was faced with the task of picking floor tiles and laminate!!!! I found the whole process so over whelming it got to a point where i didn't even know what i liked and didn't like and found it really hard to visualise the end result. When Deirdre arrived to my house i had samples of tiles and laminate and she was able to explain what would suit and what wouldn't suit. What i was veering towards before Deirdre arrived would have looked totally washed out in the grand scheme of things. Deirdre had to make a few calls to my house before i came to a final decision and even came with me to a tile warehouse to make sure we got the best possible match for my kitchen/hall area. We then went onto pick paint colours for the inside and outside of my house which i cannot wait to see when i finally get to that stage. I would describe Deirdre's style as funky and she was the perfect match for me. She really did take the stress out of the whole process and started to make it enjoyable again. Was such a relief to get all of these decisions made and to be happy with what i picked instead of doubting every decision i made.

I would highly recommend Dee for any interiors project - she did an absolutely fantastic job in transforming my kitchen and dining space. After listening attentively to what I wanted to do, Dee came up with an ideas board that was exactly what I was looking for and more. My kitchen is first floor and looks out onto a forest. Dee created a palette with textures and colour that reflected nature within. The result has surpassed our expectations, it’s calm, restful with pops of colours and texture that works so well. She suggested complementary colours for our hallway and living room - the whole space flows so well. Dee has a great sense of style and a unique eye for colour - I couldn’t recommend her enough!

I contacted Dee when I was finding it difficult to finish our renovation. Dee knew exactly what I was trying to achieve, even when I didn’t! Our space is a tough one to figure out but Dee worked so hard to make sure that the space worked well for us. Her eye for colour is second to none and I’m already looking forward to working with her on the rest of our home.

We moved into our new home just over 2 years ago and had loads done but still a lot to do to get to a stage where I could say any one room was totally finished. I contacted Deirdre for a consultation and have to say it was the best time and money I spent...just wish I had called upon her sooner. She really understood what I was looking for and gave me loads of realistic and affordable ideas and followed up on all her ideas with links and contacts so I could follow them through. Overall really happy with the experience and would have no problem recommending Yellow Gate Design.

Dee is the most amazing interior designer, She I has given me very clear ideas on how to go about decorating my sitting room , the most amazing combination of paint colours , textures , accessories to use to pull my scheme together . She is an amazing teacher and a truly inspirational young woman . Simple tips on concentrating on just one room at a time and stop collecting stuff as that is my biggest failing . I feel confident now to go ahead with my decor , she really understood what I was looking for, spent time and had so much patience . A rare and precious designer ❣️
