“Nicola of Design Penguin worked with us to fulfill the vision of having a snug come cinema room. The property is a cottage and we didn't want to loose the feeling of this whilst still achieving a modern fit for purpose space to immerse ourselves in a movie experience. She listened to our desires for dark walls and a bright mustard sofa, sourced all the items and provided drawings to really help visualise the final scheme. What was brilliant was how she repurposed existing objects into the scheme, the WOW which we literally saved as it was being ripped from the side of the local woolworths building works brilliantly on the over sized shelving and dimmable strip lighting. Working well too with the gold wall lights which make the space both snug and opulent the items Nicola sourced were all spot on. She presented the scheme really clearly and was open to change, but we didn't make any changes! The total project was a complete rip out and start again (so the project costs represent this) and Nicola understood this and was patient and flexible to listen to slight alterations once the scheme was at the final stages, for example Roman blinds felt better suited to the space at the last hurdle, and Nicola worked with us to find just the right pattern and material. We are discussing a complete new kitchen next... Looking forward to engaging Design Penguin again!”

“I recently moved to a brand new apartment from a traditional Victorian terraced house after 30 years and so I wanted something totally new and different to what I had lived with previously. My taste is not very modern at all and so I was wanting someone who could help me create a really stylish space that would still suit my tastes (quite eclectic I must add!) In addition it is a really small and compact flat and so I needed some clever thinking on how and what to use, where. I decided to try My Bespoke Room as there service felt very affordable (only £75 per room) and they agreed to come and do an on site visit for a very small additional charge. Using them meant that I could still be in control of what was ordered and my budget, as they just gave me all the tools which saved me loads of time. I was so excited to see it transform that I kept updating them and I really felt they were as excited as I was and really into the project too which was really nice! I got on really well with both of them straight away and was really impressed with what they came up with. It is such a slick an easy service and their virtual moodboard is really cool. It covered everything from paint colours, wallpaper to furniture and finishing touches, including coat hooks and an umbrella stand! This was money well spent and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for some help in designing and furnishing their homes. Well done girls!!!”

“I was very impressed with Annette Henry at Gage property interiors who demonstrated professionalism and commitment throughout this property development project. She helped me to source the opportunity on Marylands road, Maida Vale and undertake a full reconfiguration and refurbishment of this three-bedroom lower ground floor flat. Annie has a fantastic creative eye for interior design; styling the flat by utilising and enhancing the flow of light throughout the property, which I thought was amazing, given the complexity of the project. Also my involvement was kept to minimum as she project managed the whole scheme from start to finish; regularly keeping me up-to-date with progress and dealing with all the snagging issues which i fully appreciated. I will certainly be using Annie and Gage Interiors for my next scheme.”

“Emilie was brilliant. She did a complete renovation of my Victorian terrace, upstairs and down, including kitchen extension and reviving some original features that had been stripped away. She took my (attempts at explaining) my style and turned it into an actual vision. She gave me solutions to using the space which I had been defeated by and saved me a lot of money on bad furniture decisions. The contractors Emilie brought in were great too. A friendly, hard working team I came to know and like well. Before she got to work, I basically regretted buying my house. The house had so many issues and we didn't have a lot of room in the budget, but she delivered a home I never want to leave. She is very friendly and professional, never lets you feel like you're alone. Highly recommend.”
