We have recently completed the build of our new home in Low Head and even though it was almost an hour's drive from Launceston, after an initial meeting in the store, Daniel happily made the trip to measure our home for blinds and curtains. Not only did he ensure all the measurements of our 40+ windows and doors were accurate, he patiently waited while we debated colours for over an hour, and while providing his guidance on our selection, was never intrusive. We then anxiously awaited the installation of our blinds, not sure whether our colour and style would meet our exacting requirements. However, after arriving promptly at their appointed time today, Daniel and James arrived and installed our blinds - and they were absolutely perfect. Not only meeting, but far exceeding our expectations in all respects. Daniel and James did a professional job of the extensive installation, and did so with a minimum of fuss, with good humour, in a very timely manner, and then cleaned up after themselves perfectly. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
