“My Florida condo was transformed from a house to well appointed home that reflects my personality. The Home Vogue staff made this such a fun project. The window coverings needed to consider not just fashion, but function due to the brilliant sun along the Gulf of Mexico. I enjoy entertaining friends and family and the response has been overwhelming. The drapery hardware was able to complete a bold statement with the floor to ceiling drapes. The fabrics are my favorite! Home Vogue was able to streamline the selection process for me after a brief interview of the project and feel for my tastes, Myrna showcased a creative design board full of bold, beautiful and creative pairings that I never would have been able to coordinate without her expertise. The accent item that pulls together my living room and is the single piece of furniture that draws the most attention is the oversized custom built ottoman. It's a functional fashion forward center piece. The contrasting yet complimentary fabrics between the ottoman and drapes is stunning! The installation staff were professional, clean and efficient. Home Vogue staff personally supervised every detail of the project from start to finish. I couldn't be happier!”

“I worked with Nicolas and Jean for putting motorized and manual blinds throughout my condo. In total, they did 5 large motorized blinds, one xl motorized blind, and three medium sized blinds. Roughly 250sqft of windows total. At every step in the project, they were phenomenally communicative, thorough, helpful, and professional- they completely drove the result and it turned out great. They worked with my schedule and were always easy to get ahold of. They brought a huge selection of materials, colors, and fabrics, and really helped with the selection process. When choosing curtains, consider their function, whether for privacy, light blocking, or decor enhancement. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
