I have used the services of JLS Design on many occasions. We first worked together on a number of commercial projects in the hospitality sector and later, on the design and build of my family home. The unique experience that they gained in designing Superyachts, which demands the best utilization of available space – internal and external, has enabled them to be innovative in their approach to the many aspects of bespoke design. Rob Jacob of JLS Design took on a tricky project, in that plans of the existing house had to be drawn up, plans for the new development drawn up, the necessary planning permission sought and the services of a structural engineer utilised for the base platform and steel work to be used. Rob not only gained all the necessary planning permission but also co-ordinated the project in conjunction with the structural engineer, welders and builder I had selected, the end result is stunning and has added tens of thousands onto the value of the house and completely transformed it for me to another dimension of living. The project consisted of a large first floor balcony and spiral staircase leading to a new tiled patio beneath. The project has added around 32m2 of new outdoor usable space to the house. Throughout the whole process Rob was easily contactable and enthusiastic regards the outcome and was great to work with. I believe his professional presentation to the planning dept helped greatly in gaining approval for the project.

JLS Design are the architects of our new home in Kinsale. It has been a fantastic experience working with this company, they have been willing to listen to all of our wishes and requests and have been open to all suggestions on our part. The design they arrived at is modern and fits in magnificently to the surrounding landscape, utilizing the south facing aspect of the site to its maximum. We would highly recommend this company to anyone who requires any architectural work.

Rob at JLS was recommended to me by my builders as I was looking for a bespoke bedroom with built in beds, wardrobes, stairs, desk etc. But I didn't want a "kit". I wanted something beautiful and timeless. And that is what Rob created for me. He spent time understanding what I wanted, and that it is for a boy of 8 but I don't want it to look out of place when he is 18, or 28.... As a former master yacht builder, Rob had a great eye for detail and true precision in his design. We love the end result! Rob also advised me on other aspects of my house design also and I found him completely trustworthy and insightful.

A brilliant, insightful and bespoke personal design team!!. We are a young couple from county Waterford who recently commissioned JLS Design to redesign our coastal 19th century property.
