About Us

Xtenda is a family business built by husband and wife team John and Aly Davidson, who have been together since childhood - that's over 40 years! They live by their values of trust and loyalty and they believe in seeing things through to the end. John is a Master Craftsman: with over 35 years in the building & design industry. Aly is a Masters Graduate/former Health Professional with global business background. All contracts are signed in their own home, over a afternoon tea, so you know exactly where to find them! John and Aly lead a small but highly skilled team of bricklayers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, roofers, tilers, plasterers, heating engineers, decorators and landscapers and have their own architect, draughtsman & structural engineer.

Absolutely superb team. Every one of them is extremely highly skilled, nothing is too much trouble. Helpful suggestions throughout the build. Don’t expect a rush job they do everything to a very high standard and make sure everything is perfect. John was brilliant at keeping us informed and is himself highly skilled with many year’s experience so lots of good advice. The site was kept safe and tidy. Highly recommended

We hired Xtenda to build a small ground floor extension to provide a downstairs loo and shower to my parents' house. They provided a comprehensive quote, a proper contract and delivered a quality product on time. Their business administration was managed very well, and I was impressed with their general professionalism. Plus, the two builders were lovely with my elderly parents.

Xtenda, what a great team! I engaged John and the team after a recommendation from a friend. We had a front of house, ground floor extension, including all internal works (steel work, electrical and plastering). A great job, completed on time and to my exact requirements. Would definitely recommend Xtenda to anyone requiring building work doing.

As well as doing a fantastic job, John is great at offering suggestions on how improve on the ideas we already had. I work for the MoD and received a last minute task that required a prompt response. Xtenda stepped up to the challenge and delivered a FIRST CLASS SERVICE. I cannot thank them enough for the swift response which got the job done in time. The work is quality workmenship and thier price was extremely competitive. John and Aly kept me in the loop all the way and communication was again first class. If i require any building work, this team will be my first choice. Highly recommended.
