When I purchased walnut butcher block counters and island for my new home, I needed to find a capable company of providing the cutting, installing and finishing as well as the cutouts for the sink and island range. After calling countertop companies in the Austin area, I found WR Woodworking and hired them to do the job. They did a very professional on-site installation and made precise cuts for the sink and range on time and within budget. When we went to install a counter on a massive peninsula we knew we faced a challenge. At over 12 ft in length there is really no option that lacks a seam. After extensive research and tons of sketch ups, I ran into a picture of Wes' work here on Houzz. It showed a gorgeous counter that butted up to a butcherblock at the end, and it was a perfect solution. Within minutes I was corresponding with Jody and we made an appt for a home visit. We love the care and detailing Wes put into the project. He instructed us about how to trim out the Quartz so that the butcherblock seamlessly abuts the counter and it is perfect. We are now the proud owners of a stunning Quartz counter with a walnut butcherblock showpiece. We plan to stage buffet style from that end of the kitchen. Wes makes breathtaking pieces of furniture and innovates in his design. He used a new finish on our piece and it seems indestructible. We are so pleased with the work and highly recommend.
